Put it on the Tee for the FAC
The Navajo County Family Advocacy Center (FAC) will be hosting our 10th annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser, “Put it on the Tee for the FAC”. Thanks to last year’s generosity of our local and business sponsors, last year was a success! We were able to raise $100,000 for victims of physical and sexual assault. This year, we hope to raise even more!
The money raised from this event goes directly into supporting abused children in our community. Last year the FAC provided 200 forensic interviews, 112 forensic medical exams, and a victim advocate to each victim seen at our center. The FAC is a safe place; a one-stop shop where we bring all the services and support directly to that child. Just some of the trauma-informed services provided in addition to forensic interviews and exams include therapy services/referrals, emergency cash assistance, transportation, 24/7 crisis intervention, safety planning, civil justice assistance, and personal advocacy, where we learn about their unique, individual needs, and walk with them on the road to and through recovery.
